Woo Hoo!!! We had 5 children chosen today!!! Catiana Fannees, Biveline Louis, Berline Pierre, Claudeline Jean-Jacques and Claudenel Jean-Jacques were all chosen! That brings us up to 21 children chosen and just 29 more to find sponsors for. There are still 26 days left in this challenge so this should be a snap! But don't slow down! Keep on posting, talking, sharing, etc!

Day 23

Yay!! Two children have just been chosen for sponsorship - Rose-Laure Jean(2) and Fritznel Blaise! So that brings us up to 16 children sponsored and now just 34 more to find sponsors for to meet our goal. We still have until July 24th to meet this goal so there's still plenty of time but don't let that keep you from talking, posting, and spreading the word in any other ways. Day 19

Yay! We have another child chosen! Dadlie Jean has just been chosen for sponsorship. So that brings our total up to 12 children sponsored, 38 more to find sponsors for. I know this seems like a huge number but remember, this challenge will continue until July 24th so there is still plenty of time. But don't let that slow you down! Please keep letting people know these children need our help! Post messages anywhere it would be appropriate to do so, talk to your friends and family, and talk to complete strangers! Why not?! You never know who might be out there just wondering what they could do to help. You may have just the answer they're looking for.

Good news! THREE children have been chosen for sponsorship today - Tamara Joseph, Bendly Nicolas and Mathania Mesidor! So that brings us up to 11 children sponsored and just 39 more to find sponsors for to meet our goal! Things are progressing well but please don't quit! We need you to keep on spreading the word about all the other children who are still waiting for a sponsor!

Day 10 update

It's day 10 of our sponsorship challenge and our official count is 8 children sponsored, 42 more to find sponsors for to meet our goal of 50 children sponsored in 50 days. Since our last update, we have had two more children chosen for sponsorship - Edelande Volmar and Andy Pierre. Our goal is still within reach but we need help. Please talk to your friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, etc. Let them know these children need our help.

I'm sorry to have to announce that the person who chose Mikerlange Jean has decided not to go through with her sponsorship after all. So, unfortunately, that means our count has gone backwards. We now stand at 6 children sponsored, not 7. Phooey! But it's still day 6 of the challenge and we're still on target for 50 children sponsored in 50 days so don't give up!

It's day 6 and we now have 7 children chosen for sponsorship! Twin sisters Judeline and Rivelyne Mondesir have just been chosen. That means we have 43 more children to find sponsors for to meet our goal and still plenty of time to meet that goal!

Challenge update - day 2

I am so pleased to announce that we have had our first two children chosen in our current sponsorship challenge!! Johny Alcime and Ruth-Flavie Jean have just been chosen!! So that makes 2 children sponsored, just 48 more to go to meet our goal. As I said when I started the challenge, this one will be difficult to meet but I KNOW it can be done. Won't you please help us help the children? Talk to your friends and neighbors. Give them the URL of the website. A New Challenge!

O.k. - so this will be a tough one but I know we can do it because it's been done before. I am going to set a goal to get FIFTY (50) kids sponsored in the next 50 days. If I've done my math right (which is always a good question!),that would put us up to July 24th. That's just a few days before the 1st payment for the 2009-2010 school year will be due and it would be WONDERFUL to have 50 kids taken care of before then. So what do you think? Do you think we can do it? It will take a lot of effort. Everyone will need to get out there and talk to their friends, neighbors and family members. I've got brochures coming from the printer any day and I'll be happy to mail them out to anyone who wants to use them!So......let's do it! 50 kids sponsored by July 24th! Ready.....set.....GO!!!
